Senior Living & Aging Services

Residents stay connected, and staff stop being the help desk.

BTATL delivers resident technology programs that support independence and reduce the informal technical-support burden that lands on care and activities staff.

Discuss Resident Programming

What gets in the way

  • Residents want to video-call family, manage appointments, and stay independent, and often have nobody to teach them.
  • Care and activities staff absorb technical support they were never trained or scheduled for.
  • Residents in congregate settings are actively targeted by scams, sometimes repeatedly.
  • Losing the ability to manage your own affairs online is a real loss of independence, not a minor inconvenience.

What an engagement looks like

A resident programming series

Regular sessions in the community's own space, sized for the residents who attend and paced for mixed ability. Focused on what residents actually want to do — video calls with family, photographs, messages, appointments, staying safe online — with materials residents can keep and staff can reinforce.

What you receive

  • Structured resident sessions delivered on site
  • Practice on residents' own devices
  • Plain-language materials residents can keep
  • Scam guidance suitable for residents and families
  • A written summary for the community's records

Measurement and reporting

  • Self-reported confidence before and after
  • Participation and completion
  • Resident ratings
  • Any effect on staff support burden would be observed and reported by the community, not claimed by us

Boundaries and requirements

What we will not claim, and what has to be true for this to work. We would rather be clear now than impressive now.

  • We deliver education, not care, supervision or clinical support.
  • We do not provide device repair, account recovery, or ongoing technical support.
  • We make no claim about reducing staff workload or improving occupancy; those would be the community's own measures.
  • Residents with cognitive impairment may need a different approach; we would discuss suitability honestly rather than enroll everyone.
